Racial Justice

But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them. 1 John 2:11

Racial justice embodies the Christian principle of love and equality for all God’s children. Rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, racial justice calls for the recognition and rectification of systemic inequities and injustices faced by people of different races. It involves a commitment to understanding racism in all its forms, promoting inclusion, and ensuring fair treatment, opportunities, and representation for individuals of all backgrounds.

As a faith community, we can pursue racial justice by creating an environment where people of all races feel welcome, valued, and respected. By encouraging open and honest conversations about race and racism within the church community, we can provide a safe space for sharing experiences and perspectives.
