Join us for a special forum hosted by the Deep Waters Bible Study featuring Michael Wear and his book, The Spirit of our Politics: Spiritual Formation and the Renovation of the Public Life.
Michael is an author, speaker, and the President and CEO of the Center for Christianity and Public Life. His book The Spirit of our Politics observes that political division is negatively shaping who we are becoming. He calls for a new approach to politics that fosters healing over hatred and inspires hope rather than despair.
Join us as we seek to find healing and hope despite our differences.
“I have seen our politics up close. I’ve briefed a president in the Oval Office. I’ve been a participant in our political and public life for nearly two decades. I’ve seen communities change and lives made better because of politics, just as I’ve seen the opposite. What I can promise you is that it is people who make the difference, and it does not take many people acting differently to make a difference in our politics and in people’s lives. Spiritual formation is central to civic renewal.” Michael Wear
