Heather Hart is the office manager for the Pastoral Counseling Service. She schedules client appointments and handles bookkeeping there. Heather loves working with clients and meeting new people. She also loves spreadsheets and is a bit of an accounting nerd. Originally from Tallahassee, FL, she enjoys attending FSU football games and visiting family there. When Heather is not working, she loves being a mom to Hudson and Lily. Other passions include cooking/baking, gardening, and volunteering at a food pantry in Decatur. Her bucket list is mostly composed of travel, especially to India.

Rev. Emily Miles

Emily Miles is our Director of Mental Wellness and one of our Associate Ministers on staff.  Her primary focus is leading the congregation in ministries of mental, physical, and spiritual wellness. Emily loves walking with others in faith and helping them find peace in their daily lives. Hailing from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Emily graduated from Appalachian State University with a bachelor’s in Religious Studies. After discovering her call to ministry, Emily attended Candler School of Theology at Emory University, where she received a Master of Divinity and certificate in Faith and Health. She is an ordained deacon and a certified yoga instructor with more than eight years of teaching experience. When Emily is not working, you can find her reading, crushing another Peloton workout, or hanging out with her husband and fellow pastor, Rev. Josh Miles and their sweet baby girl, Daisy.

Beth Ahrenhold

Beth Ahrenhold is our Wedding Director. She coordinates and directs our weddings here at the church. Beth enjoys meeting with brides and grooms and welcoming their families and friends to our wonderful church. Originally from Alexander City, Alabama, Beth enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with friends and her two sons and daughter-in-law. Her church involvement includes New Beginnings Sunday School Class, Altar Guild, Flower Guild, and Women’s Prison Ministry efforts.

Rev. Bill Britt

Bill is from the small town of Thomaston in middle Georgia and is a graduate of Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta and his Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. He and his wife Wendie have been married for 40 years and have two adult children (Sara and Will). Bill has served churches throughout the North Georgia Conference including Trinity-on-the-Hill UMC in Augusta, Trinity UMC in Cartersville, and the First UMC in Athens. He became the senior minister at Peachtree Road UMC in 2008, and his hobbies include spending time with his three grandchildren, playing classic golf courses, and enjoying time at the beach. He loves to eat barbeque and icebox lemon pie!

Rev. Josh Miles

Josh Miles is an Associate Minister on our staff, and an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church. Josh works with prayer, pastoral care, worship, and racial justice here at Peachtree Road UMC. Josh loves listening to people, investing in people, and affirming people’s gifts for ministry and discipleship. Originally from Athens, GA, Josh served in ministry at his home church – Athens First United Methodist Church – for eight years before being appointed to Peachtree Road. In Athens, Josh developed a passion for pouring into the next generation as he directed the church’s youth ministry. Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, Rev. Emily Miles, and their daughter, Daisy. Josh is also a big fan of college sports.

Scott Atchison

Scott Atchison is our Director of Music and Organist. He oversees all aspects of our Music Ministry and how it is integrated into our worship each week. Scott loves making music with the extremely talented folks at PRUMC, and especially leading hymns at the Great Organ. He is originally from Atlanta – as his family history tells you. His mother and grandmother attended the premier of Gone with the Wind! Outside of work, you can find him hanging out with his French Bulldog Claude, who really runs the household.
