Elizabeth Byrd is one of our associate ministers. She works with discipleship, adult education, new members, and hospitality here at Peachtree Road. Elizabeth loves helping people grow in their walk of faith and in the knowledge and love of God. She grew up in Mississippi and attended college at the University of South Alabama. She is a graduate of Candler School of Theology at Emory and was ordained as an elder in the North Georgia Conference in 2021. Outside of work, you can find Elizabeth singing, playing her guitar, enjoying baseball games, and spending time with her husband Phillip and her daughter Tilly. Learning to play the violin is on her to-do list.
Brittany Charron
Brittany Charron is our Director of Evangelism. Brittany is grateful that each day is different and allows for an opportunity to learn. She treasures the wisdom of older adults and derives energy from the compassion of our prayer volunteers. A native Georgian and proud Yellow Jacket, Brittany is enjoying her second career at PRUMC after teaching middle school science and volunteering at her daughters’ schools. Outside of work you can find Brittany visiting with her girls, listening to the latest alternative rock, walking with friends, traveling, or curling up with a good book. At the top of Brittany’s “To-Do” list is revisiting Dusseldorf with her two girls, showing them the place where she and their father met 29 years ago.
Ruth Sommerville
Ruth Sommerville is our Music and Arts Administrator. Her primary role is supporting the Music and Arts Ministry and Worship Ministry and thrives on making our services, concerts, and special events the best they can be. Originally from a small farming community in Illinois, she grew up singing in choirs, playing the piano, flute, and saxophone. She majored in sociology at the University of Illinois and moved to Atlanta in 1986. Now she is a Dawgs fan! Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, going to concerts, and spending time with her family.
Scott Atchison
Scott Atchison is our Director of Music and Organist. He oversees all aspects of our Music Ministry and how it is integrated into our worship each week. Scott loves making music with the extremely talented folks at PRUMC, and especially leading hymns at the Great Organ. He is originally from Atlanta – as his family history tells you. His mother and grandmother attended the premier of Gone with the Wind! Outside of work, you can find him hanging out with his French Bulldog Claude, who really runs the household.

Wayne Bennett
Wayne Bennett is our Property and Facility Manager. He manages all the happenings of Peachtree Road with AV, Events, event setups, maintenance, custodial, security, renovations, properties, and landscaping. Wayne is grateful for the opportunity to work at Peachtree Road, the busiest place on earth! He attended Dekalb College while studying electrical construction and project management. Outside of work, his granddaughter occupies a lot of his time. He enjoys cars, motorcycles, camping, and home projects. You might even catch him riding dirt bikes with his son. Traveling back to Israel and exploring the United States is on his bucket list.

Grant Hagy
Grant Hagy is our Sports Director. He is in charge of our youth sports leagues. Grant was born and raised in Atlanta and grew up attending Peachtree Road. He previously worked in the NBA’s minor league. Grant loves spending time with his wife, daughter, son, and dog. He is an avid Bulldog, Falcons, Braves, and Hawks fan. Grant enjoys playing golf and traveling to the lake and beach.
Charles Akin
Charles Akin is our Director of Sports, Recreation and Life Enrichment. He oversees all operations related to providing youth sports leagues, camps, and enrichment classes to families in our community. He considers his job a labor of love and finds great satisfaction in serving Buckhead with excellent programs. Originally from Atlanta, Charles attended Pace Academy as a child and then Marist High School and Auburn University. His wife, Joeleen, is an Associate Athletic Director at Georgia Tech and they have two children – Bobbie, a Dance Major at the University of Kentucky and Ryan, a student at Marist. When he’s not working, you might find him Kayak fishing on the Hooch!
Ryan Holder
Ryan Holder is an Associate Director of Youth Ministry. He loves sharing about Jesus through teaching and worship. He oversees the youth worship team, facilities, events, and budget management. Ryan loves to see students involved in the life of the church and building lasting relationships.
Originally from Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana, Ryan is a true AF brat and claims Panama City, FL as home but has lived in the Atlanta area for most of his life. Along with his wife, Kirby, and their 3 children (James, Liam, and Bailey), you can find him cheering for most Atlanta sports including the Braves, Hawks, and as Founding Members for Atlanta United…but not the Falcons (go Bucs). He is also a musician (Music Ed at Florida State University, percussion) and gamer. He loves to travel and spend time at the beach in Hilton Head with his family.
